COVID-19 UPDATE September 21, 2022

 

 

Tucker County’s TOTAL COVID-19 CASE NUMBERS reported to us by medical providers is 2,456 confirmed positive cases since the beginning of this pandemic. Currently there are 3 active cases. In the month of September, we have had 79 NEW POSITIVE CASES of COVID-19 reported to us. (Total positive cases in August (104), July (77) June (48), May (46), April (26), March (57), February (205), January (481), December (95), November (114), and October (180).  PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE NUMBERS DO NOT REFLECT HOME TEST RESULTS (THOSE ARE NOT REPORTED TO US).

The State of WV Website (coronavirus.wv.gov) reports that there have been 38 deaths of Tucker County Residents during the pandemic.    Our prayers and thoughts are with each of their families.

CDC COVID-19 GUIDANCE

IF POSITIVE FOR COVID-19

Regardless of vaccination status, you should isolate from others when you have COVID-19.

If you test positive for COVID-19, stay home for at least 5 days and isolate from others in your home.

Wear a mask for days 6-10 following end of quarantine.

CONTACT WITH A POSITVE CASE

CDC recommends that instead of quarantining if you were exposed to COVID-19, you wear a high-quality mask for 10 days and get tested on day 5. 

No longer recommending screening testing of asymptomatic people without known exposures in most community settings.
